New exhibitions have been opened in the Hannu Hautala Nature Photography Centre! In the Gallery, a new set of Hannu Hautalas classics as well as the changing theme exhibition are on display. The theme exhibitions shows pictures of birds in extremely cold conditions. There is also a new series on hannu's Rocking Chair. The series includes pictures from the year 2011 as well as some findings from the archives.
The visiting photographer is Esko Pitkänen with hsi exhibition called In Hailuoto with my camera. All of the pictures have been taken in hailuoto, a small island on the coast of Northern Ostrobothnia. The exhibition includes traditional photographs as well as a digital multivision.
These exhibitions are open until 12.5, and new exhibitions will be opened for the summer. Welcome! |

September 2011 Hannu´s best photo voting ended on 10th of September 2011. The photo The charred pine of black woodpecker was the favourite (224 votes out of 1564 votes). Three lucky ones won the photo they voted. Fox brothers goes to Kuusamo, The style of a snowy owl goes to Iisalmi and The eagle lands to Helsinki. The winners will be informed.

There is a new serie of Hannu Hautala's classic photos and the changing theme exhibition is now The orchids of Kuusamo. At Hannu's rocking chair You can see Hautala's fresh bird photos.
In the Hall of the Siberian Jay it is possible to admire Tinden by Arvid Sveen.

Luonnonkuvaaja Hannu Hautala 70 vuotta 12.5.2011
Juhlanäyttelyn avajaiset ja luontokuvaseminaari la 14.5. Kuusamossa
Luonnonkuvaaja Hannu Hautala täyttää 70 vuotta toukokuun 12. päivänä. Merkkipäivän kunniaksi Hannu Hautala –säätiö avaa 14.5. laajan juhlanäyttelyn, joka on esillä luontokuvakeskuksessa 8.9 saakka. Näyttelyssä on esillä tavanomaista laajempi valikoima Hautalan klassikkotöitä, kolme teemanäyttelykokonaisuutta sekä ensimmäistä kertaa Kuukkelisalissa Hannun kuvausuraa esittelevä multivisio. Näyttelyn avajaiset la 14.5. klo 10-13 järjestetään kaikille avoimena yleisötilaisuutena, jonka yhteydessä on tarjolla Hannun syntymäpäiväkahvit, ja tietenkin teetä Hannun tapaan. Pohjois-Pohjanmaan kesäyliopisto järjestää yhteistyössä säätiön kanssa la 14.5. klo 14-17 Kuusamon lukiolla luontokuvaseminaarin, jossa on esitelmöitsijänä suomalaisia alan tunnustettuja asiantuntijoita.
